Kenny is still the Master of Jazz!

Last time I saw Kenny G was Y2K in Seattle. This year, I actually saw him in my own hometown Portland Oregon and he totally rocked the Schnitzer. It is impressive to watch him and his band perform and see how much they all still enjoy entertaining after all these years. It was absolutely a memorable concert and he interacts and connects with the audience as if we were all personal friends. Thank you Kenny G.. I sure hope you will return to PDX before you retire! ... Kenny G still Wows them

Kenny G did not disappoint his faithful at the Boch Center/Shubert Theatre Thursday Dec 8th. He started in the crowd for his patented entrance before heading up on stage for 2 plus hours of enjoyment. Even at 60 yrs old he still amazes with his licks and runs like a 20 year old. His back up band is amazing as well with out of this world percussionist, piano, drums, bass and electric guitarist. Kenny let them shine and show off their amazing talents through out the show with solo's and spotlights. Much to this patrons delight he was the opening act as well as the headliner as the agreement at the Theatre was there had to be an intermission. He also just sprinkled in 5 or so Holiday songs and played probably 15 or so of his favorite hits like, Songbird, Silhouette, Forever in Love, Brasil and he closed the night with an encore performance of The Titanic Theme song My Heart goes on. He ended by signing and taking a photo with everyone that purchased a CD - Class Act! ... Read more
